blogic: The Best and Worst Members of Congress, 2004 Awards

Members of Congress work hard on creating a positive image, so we usually know little about them that they don’t want us to know.

But their aides know a lot—who’s smart and who’s dumb, who’s gutsy and who’s a blowhard.

There's some surprising stuff here. Turns out that Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, who I see as kind of a do-nothing, is seen as the best leader. People don't seem to like John McCain very much. Hilary Clinton is honored as both one of the best and the worst newcomers. Patrick Kennedy and Rick Santorum are both seen as kind of dumb, and Washington Senator Maria Cantwell is a hottie. Who knew?
